I read about this lady who has kept every text message she has received since 1999 - and is publishing them all in a book. I wish I'd done that but i have got some old diaries in the wardrobe and I love getting them out every now and again to see what bothered me and things that happened that i might have forgotten about plus the words you used back in the day. Have you got any interesting texts you've kept? Or even better have you any funny stories lurking in an old diary you don't mind sharing with us? I think I spent a whole two months writing about a guy called David and I read diary entires now about him and can see clearly see he was in no way interested in me but when I was in the moment I was so oblivious! I find myself giving myself a good talking to giving "Zammo he's just not that into you"!!!

Nope....I delete the lot. Never kept a diary either.....
"this lady who has kept every text message she has received since 1999 - and is publishing them all in a book"

bound to be made up. no text message is ever interesting at the time of receiving, or any time after even to the person they were sent.
Some of them are Ankou :-)

Saying that....my OH only deletes messages when he has to. He reads through them all first...often cracks up laughing at something I sent him a year ago...
I am glad I have deleted most of mine!!! In fact, on my days of coming home from London on the train late at night after a good evening in the Cittie of Yorke, I taught myself that eating my own sim card was the only way to stop sending texts that I just KNEW were going to come back and haunt me.
how bloody boring...the woman, not this thread btw.. :-)
Lol BM....I used to delete some peoples numbers from my phone when I went out...
I have kept my diary from Grammar school days - its SO embarrassing to read about all the crushes I had on boys - "that fab boy who works at the Library LOOKED at me today when he passed me in town" (cringe!) also about my crush on the Beatles "I Luv John Lennon!!!" I stopped writing in a daily diary when I married in 1968 but started again in 1987 and have faithfully filled it in ever since. It has really come in handy when arguments start - "What year did we go to ....... or when did so and so visit etc ! The whole family consult Ann and her trusty diaries!
a book of drunken texts might be funnier!
I'd hate to look back on mine from a few years ago when I was single, I remember texting the same message to several different girls now and then, naughty!
Ahhhhh, the one in ten theory, Paul?!
I always started off the new year with a new diary and faithfully filled it in until about February. I'd pick it up again in maybe August, fill in a weeks worth and forget again. Don't even bother kidding myself that I'll keep one going now :-/
I also record world/uk newsworthy events which have come in handy for quizzes etc, and also keep track of the holidays and the weather - temps and sunset times etc. Sounds sad I know but I suppose its my hobby ........ I love spending time reading them from years gone by, better than any novel!!
i had an old mobile which had some rather naughty texts mr crx had sent me when we first met. unfortunately mother in laws phone broke when she was visiting and she needed an urgent replacement so i had to delete the memory on the phone and give it to her :(
i would fill 20 pages with texts about a car accident i had and how much i could be able to claim.
