setting Sky plus to record from iPod

we have 3 Sky Plus boxes in our house (multiroom) and my son can set his to record from an app on his phone and it works fine. My daughter has downloaded the same app on her iPod but it sets to record on our living room box instead of the one in her room. Any idea why this is happening ??
