Ok i hold my hands up, yes my Wii is always on stand by when not being used...but yesterday, i had to disconnect all the wires as i had a new tv installed, only when all the Wii cables were plugged back in, i had no power to the console, ive had my Wii about 18 months now and i use it almost daily...so do i need to replace the power lead or get a new console?

Thanks in advance

Do you have a similar power cable that is powering something else? If so swap i with the Wii lead, if it works you'll know that it's the cable and not the console.
Or check the fuse in the Wii cable, it could be that.
