Any good software for creating your own music. Used cubase and fruity loops before, didn't like either.

there's some software called garage band which has loads and loads of loops and is so easy to use - drag and drop - and all completely copyright free of anything!  Nor sure if its the sort of thing you're looking for but its good fun nonetheless.
SoundTracker.  It's similar in theory to FruityLoops, but not as powerful.  It's free though.
Cakewalk is a good sequencer, also have a look at Sibelius. Both expensive pieces of software to purchase, although older versions of Cakewalk can be found on cover discs occasionally I believe.
