Just interested to know if you switched you cordless mouse off when not in use...e.g when you retire to bed.

I couldn't get on with those cordless mices. I now have a 'bar of chocolate' mouse - but no, I never turned it off, Sqad...(:o)

most go into standby if not moved for a few minutes (do you have to click a button to wake it up if you've left it a while?)

If so, not worth turning it off, do turn it off if you transport it anywhere though.

(didn't you say on a thread last week you have a desktop now? why have a cordless at all on a desktop?)

Mine doesn't have a standby Chuck..............I only got it this year and it's on it's third set of batteries.

chuck....because the base unit is in a cr@p position and the mouse, attached to a USB point is dangling infront of me and annoying sqad.....so I have bought a cordless mouse. Now sqad is happy.

Either this is Mrs Sqad... or Sqad has started to talk about him self in the third person!

Anyhow, regardless, answer still stands, if your mouse goes into standby don't bother turning it off, if it doesn't go into standby (like crafts) turning it off will save batteries.

I flipped my mouse over and sure enough there's an off switch. No, I don't turn that off.

chuck...sqad is talking about himself....mouse doesn't go into standby, so I will switch it off at night....thanks.

Chrissa as I have a wireless keyboard and mouse they both have batteries.............where else would they get their power from?
