How do I send attachments with Lycos email?

Not sure how many of you are with Lycos mail, but have had problems with sending attachments of late. They have not been displaying the main toolbar with Send and Spellchecker, and there is no obvious way to add attachments. Have any of you had this problem, and if so what do I do?

Can you also recommend another email provider, who does allow attachments with their free email accounts?

Many thanks for your speedy and helpful replies.

Sorry, I know nothing about Lycos email. However this is what their support page says about attachments:

There are loads of free email services which permit attachments. However most of them only allow you to access your account via the web, rather than by using a proper email client (such as Outlook Express or Windows Mail). My own preference would be to choose a service which lets you use both methods for sending and receiving mail. By far the most well-known is, of course, Google's Gmail:
http://mail.google.com/mail/
However my own choice is to use the Egyptian-based Gawab. See paragraph 3, et seq, here for details of how to create an account with Gawab:

(Ignore my subsequent posts on that thread. They belong to another thread but mysteriously ended up there!).

Thanks for the advice, Chris, but the problem seems to have rectified itself now. By the way Googlemail is also very good as well, so either this or Lycos mail is good for free email.
