loss of connection

any explanation and help
After i wake my pc up from screensaver mode i constantly get webpage cannot display.on doing the diagnostic run i get internet connectivety has been lost,i have the usual option a 2minute switch off or re-connect or reset local isp although i do re-connect what causes this i use vista home premium and i/e8 any suggestions please

Are you sure it's a screensaver or sleeping (hibernation)?
If the latter, it probably will disconnect.
If just a screensaver, it should stay connected, but check settings in Display/Screensaver and Power settings tabs
