Video's Freezing

Im having a problem with videos on youtube and other such sites freezing for a moment every few seconds, very annoying! im using firefox, does anyone know what causes this or how it can be solved? i had this problem before with a different laptop but got it sorted, cant remember how tho.

It usually happens because the computer cant download fast enough to play the file continuously.
The easiest way around it is to pause playback for a few moments to give it time to download more of the file.
It is also worth checking to see if any other computers are browsing/downloading via your internet connection as this will limit your internet speed.
The speed that YouTube and other sites can deliver video will be affected by how fast your broadband is, but also what the load is on the interent in general, and the youtube site (or whatever site you are using) in particular.

The "interent" is not available at the same speed all the time, and will be busier in the evening and over the weekend, than at say 6am in the morning.

Try watching at a less busy time for the internet.
