I was about to download iTunes 8 when I saw a warning on the site saying I should log in as an administrator before doing so. Why do I have to do this and how do I do it? (I used to have iTunes 7 on my previous computer and I don't remember anything about administrators - you just installed it and away you went.) Thanks.

Are you running Vista?
iTunes 8 seems to have caused a lot of Windows users some grief.

Run apple software update again, and get the newer version (8.0.1?).

If software update doesn't show a newer version, download iTunes manually from Apple's site (again, make sure it's not just iTunes 8, but the corrected version).
