Hello, I wish to get broadband at home, I have a laptop but dont know if it has the necessary features/configuration/spec to connect it to the internet using broadband (yet to be installed). What does my laptop need to have/be able to do?

What make/model is it?

Do you want to connect wirelessly, or will you plug the laptop in to the broadband modem?

Hi Ethel,

Not sure how old, ex company cast off, estimate 5 years old

Dell Inspiron 2650 - PP04L, Pentium 4, Windows XP, Actiontec Modem MD560RD inside.

No wish for wireless broadband.
