I am aware an Ethernet Broadband connection is unreliable (at least from NTL in my experience) as I am currently forced to connect via Ethernet. The message " you have limited or no connectivity" and the resulting loss of service is very frustrating not to mention expensive. I tried reinstalling NTL's broadband software to configure the usb connection but got Network adapter error. In device manager under network adapters it only shows the Ethernet adapter drivers and no mention of any usb devices. Also all other usb devices check out as operational. Apologies for the preamble but How can I connect the NTL modem via usb in the light of information given here? Those C**ts wan"t me to phone the helpline 60p/min.

I'm using NTL. Only since the router was installed has that message appeared. I find that by taking the router plug out for a minute or so seems to clear the 'limited access' trouble. Similar way I suppose as taking the plug from STB used to boost television email.
There is a chat/forum site http://www.ntldtv.co.uk/ This was estabilished for the benefit of NTL CWCTV users when they lost Leisure District. Maybe someone there has more specialist knowledge. Not been in for a couple of years, was okay
