Logging On To Amazon

Is anyone else driven to despair trying to log on to Amazon? Every time (and I mean every time) I try I have no luck. After I've put in my password they ask me to type in the numbers and letters I can see, which I do, but they're not satisfied with that. They then say they will e-mail me a code to enable me to sign in but, 15 minutes later, I'm still waiting. Don't they want me to buy anything from them?

You are sure you're not been fooled into thinking you are on the Amazon site but aren't ?

I see you had this problem last year as well, a few things, are you sure you are going to www.amazon.co.uk, have you ever been able to logon, have you tried setting up a new account, I wonder if it is possible that someone else has set up an account with what appears to be an identical email address but maybe missing a full stop or some such. As per the other respondents I have never had to enter a captcha code when logging in to Amazon just my email address and password.
