My mother in law changed from BT to Talk Talk - everything worked and connected to Wi-Fi ( phones and tablets).
Now the Asus tablet won't connect to the Wi-Fi - coming up with an X beside the signal strength - Passwords entered correctly - and brought it over to my hous eand wont connect on my talk talk router either while all my stuff does. Whats gone wrong?

This refers to Windows 7 but it should be the same for other versions of Windows:

If that doesn't work, please let us know and include the version of Windows (as the next thing to try is resetting the TCP/IP stack and the way to do that is slightly different across each version).

How does that affect the wifi between the router and tablet?
The suggestion in the video is nothing more than a variation on the old trick of 'turn it off and turn it on again'. It removes the existing (faulty) connection settings and enables you to start from new.

If we get as far as resetting the TCP/IP stack (which only takes a few seconds to accomplish) it again clears old settings from the laptop's registry and replaces them with the 'out of the box' original ones that would be there with a brand new installation of Windows.
Oh, hang on a minute. I've just realised that you're referring to a tablet and not to a laptop. Sorry about that! (I must need more beer!)

I'm currently working on another forum at the moment, so I've not got as much time as I'd like to look into your problem but googling the following line might help:
"android" "red x" "wifi"
(Remember to include those quote marks, especially around 'Android", to avoid getting loads of results referring to Windows).

Taking a quick look at those results though brings up this thread:

Although it refers to a Kindle, the advice provided by Netman70 probably applies to all Android devices, and so might help.

Apologies again for the pointless replies above.
The tablet did find the WiFi, did it ? It sounds like a fault with either your MIL's modem/router or the tablet. Changing the Internet provider ought not have changed the WiFi settings. Unless Talk Talk provided a new one that isn't set up the same. Check the modem/router WiFi setting; and the tablet's.
