Does anyone know if PayPal is down ?
I've ordered things on line today from two different sources and I usually get an email straight away to confirm my purchase but I've had nothing .
The transactions went through according to my account .

hello all, glad you are ok Jno. I have spent today doing heavyweight sorting and tidying. My mixer has arrived and its a thing of total beauty. Even if I never use it, its a beautiful piece of kitchen art. Its 25 years since I decided I wanted one and I just decided now or never. I am probably shallow and spendthrift but there you go.

Woofy if it gives you pleasure then why not .You can't take it with you gal.
It's like all my blue and white antique china .Things of beauty for me but it just gathers dust and I wash it all from time to time and put it back. It'll probably all be sold on Ebay when I'm gone :)
It's turned very chilly here ,more than chilly actually and we had to bite the bullet and put the heating on.
can't take it with you? I'm sure there have been stranger things than mixers in coffins before now...
Morning all...apologies for my absence, I'm plate spinning, trying to get things organised before the dark nights are here.....only two weeks, ugh!
Hoping the weather's going to be the same as yesterday, it was like/better than summer, warm, very still, just glorious.

Have your ears been burning shaney? Sis had a lovely soft leather bag with her on Thurs, she said her OH had a panic attack when she bought it and I told her about you and your purchase(s), haha.

Are you sitting comfortably jno? Well done with your procedure I'm sorry I wasn't around to bring you a bunch of grapes. ducks

Neti, you had a rubber/swim ring to sit on? Southern softie. I was back on me bike with baby in a papoose. :)
hehe, well maybe not.

Enjoy your new gizmo woofy, if I had that in my kitchen there'd be no room for anything else.

Had an Amazon Local email today offering me an Axe Throwing Experience, 52% off.....hahahaha. If only....
Softie? I gave birth to hija in 25 mins flat, then immediately scoffed a plate of.paell, it was Easter Sunday, back home next morning! Bah humbug! !
Robi, you get much better offers than I do, I get tea parties and nail salons.
Shaney I have got two cupboards full of vintage teatime china. I get used very rarely but I love it, nothing valuable and very little matches. I also like to dress my living room for the season, currently the ornaments are all autumny. No one sees it but me and Sis but it makes me smile, even when they are coated with a thick layer of dust.

Ooh I'd love an axe throwing experience .I can think of several things I could throw an axe at :)
Bit dizzy dameish first thing plus the zigzags so it was Stemetil for breakfast and it rained here this morning and it wasn't forecast .Only just brightening up.
I've got a man mowing though and the new wifi gizmo is all systems go.
Lol Robinia ....I've had gasps from menfolk when buying handbags and they seemed to break out in a sweat and had to go and sit down..lol.

It's been dull and chilly all day here. It's a dizzy day atmosphere.

lol shaney, I'll book you a place at the axe throwing along with me & sis then shall I? I get offered all sorts of odd 'experiences', from gym memberships, criminal psychology, to trekking across muddy fields for hours with a herd of spitting alpacas...lol

We got rid of lots of vintage crockery after our mum died. Now people are snatching it up. Actually you've made me think woofy, I've still got bits and bobs packed away that could come out for an airing and there's a Radford plate with handpainted anemones somewhere that I love. I'm going mis-matched in this room (dining), I got a bargain floral blind from Dunelm, half price. I want a dotty tablecloth and checks/stripes here and there, random pics of flowers/wildlife. You get the idea. I'll just have to keep moving if I have a visitor, they might think I'm a tree in winter wall art. :)
all this talk of mis-matched...neti's going to need a paper bag to breathe into.
Mismatched?? Dreadful habits. Sis has a garage full of all sorts of vintage dainty crockery, OIL PAINTINGS ETC DRIVES ME MAD. Sorry cba to retype.
Well we have closed the pool now just have to gradually empty it so we don't cause a tsunami for the neighbours all swimming equipment packed away., sisters have cancelled their oz trip as the eldest is feeling really unwell. Glad I'd already decided not to go. They have lost anything as it was all insured. Hijas a bit sad as they won't now be going to Dubai.
They have not lost anything that should read.
Sorry your sis is unwell neti. Ozzy leaves tomorrow afternoon :(
I am a great fan of matched mismatched, ones of things and a general junkshop look....often not on purpose. sorry to hear about your sister Neti. Robi, yes i hate it when loved visitors leave. Still doing heavyweight sorting here but can now see the dining room floor which is pretty good and the kitchen looks like a kitchen again and not a refuse store so its all good.

It's well over twenty years ago that I paid fifty quid ( lot of money then ) for a Tula bag and we stood there in Debenhams and they went in unison ...How Much! But ,it pays to invest as it's still going strong.
Nothing matches here either apart from a couple of tea sets which are rarely used now and my pegs are a total disgrace :) I still use stuff that belonged to my Mum and MiL.
Hope your sister soon feels better Neti. That's a long way to travel if you're unwell .Yes ,I expect you'll be sad to see him go Robinia .Hope he has a safe journey.
Sis has a terribly painful jaw and ear, she's been to dentist, nothing two specialists, one says neuralgia, other says jaw is displaced even with xrays they can't see it. Her son is there at the moment trying to get her to eat, she can't open her mouth so has to have it all whizzed up, and being unwell she cba! I phoned her but she was in bed asleep which is totally not her. Hope she gets better soon.
I bought a mixer/juicer thingy from Lakeland, only 29 quid (was looking to do the pound sign with alt +163 and it all went sideways, upside down and everywhere, so not doing that again!) it's perfectly good. Best thing I have is my Lakeland egg boiling machine.

Mr N just made a delicious chicken stir fry with side plate of thin noodles and tortilla, really delicious, best yet.
oh dear, ear and jaw pain is horrible. It affects everything.
The dogs have been very very sleepy today. They are fine, eating and so on happily, just very very tired. On thinking about it, this is the longest stretch of non windy not horrible weather we have had for quite a while and I think the stress has only just rolled off them.
Good morning, I awoke to the smell of bonfire smoke, urgh hate it, it permeates everywhere, and it is still illegal until the 15 th grrr!
Feels autumnal today, lovely but I guess the sun will appear and blow it is just as I am typing!
Hope jno is ok and had a comfy night, and also the rest of you.
Poor Robi will you see Ozzy before he goes back?, thinking of you!
I don't know about comfy, I seem to have swallowed a barrage balloon, so much wind in me I may have to tether myself to a door handle. Goodness knows where that came from, all we had for dinner was a nice taginey casserole.
taginy? not too spicy I hope jno, that would never do atm!
not remotely spicy (the cook would be dismissed if that happened), it had honey in it.

Maybe I should hire myself out as a blimp to supply overheard camera angles at sporting events.
