(Free) Ebooks & Ipad

I am still learning about my new Ipad!! I'm sure there are loads of ways to get ebooks onto it but can anyone recommend any sites that offer Free EBooks and also tell me how you go about getting the book "downloaded" onto the ipad. Thanks in advance

You can download and join the Amazon Kindle app. Amazon have loads of free ebooks...or using the Safari browser, you can download from several websites, including Gutterberg.com, and then load them into the Kindle app.
