Our internet connection is working fine. BUT - the 'Internet' light on the router has been red for a few days. The 'Broadband' light is green (as are the power and wifi lights).
How come we are still connected if the 'internet' seems not to be working?
I thought the internet and broadband were the same thing. Is 'broadband' not just a fast internet connection?

It could be just a glitch in your router.
You're correct - Your internet is obviously working or you couldn't have produced this post. Get onto your ISP and ask for a replacement router.
I occasionally get ' You are not connected ' but all lights are green and TV working. ?
Is the encryption on?

Your last question answers itself. Broadband is a description of your connection to the network, not the network itself.
Have you tried switching off the Router, waiting a couple of minutes and then switching it back on again ? ...sorry if this sounds like a joke answer but its the easiest method to try first, before you get on the phone to your ISP.
Perhaps it just needs "re-setting"
