For the past few days my laptop has been so slow,it's ok when i am printing but changing pages is a nightmare, around 10sec each click. i am on 3G MiFi and usually have no problem. Is there a solution to this?
Then access the Task Manager and go to the Processes tab to look for any high figures in the CPU column (showing that something is hogging your laptop's processing power) or in the Mem Usage column (showing that something is hogging memory).
Good morning Buenchico, thanks for your reply.I have checked the Task Manager, the highest CPU level noticed is 14 on chrome.exe*32, incidently chrome.exe*32 is listed 5 times and each one keeps showing some CPU movement.Other than that I can see no problems.
System Idle Process should be high. (It's basically showing the spare CPU capacity available), However Chrome shouldn't be there 5 times. Try using another browser (even the ultra-dire Internet Explorer will be good enough for test purposes, although Firefox would be a far better choice). If things get back to normal speed then it's Chrome that's at fault. Try resetting it

or even consider uninstalling it and then reinstalling (although my own choice would still be to switch to Firefox anyway).
