I use Microsoft Security Essentials and there's always the green icon displayed on the bar at the bottom of the screen. Suddenly another identical green icon appeared at the side of it.
Why is this?
Is this good or bad?
Do I need to remove and reinstall Microsoft Security Essentials?

I clicked on one and scanned the computer. When I clicked on the other one this message came up - safely remove MATSHITA DVD/CDRW drive D. When I hover the mouse on the icon I see this message - status protected. Same message as the other icon.

Thanks for looking at my question and replying.

Sound like Windows just got confused about which icon to display. Just restarting the system should solve the problem.
