ive been wanting to buy a sewing machine for a while now , but just dont know where to start , i used to use i think its was a belina in school and they were really good robust machine but cant seem to find them so must have the wrong name
the type of machine i want is some that can sew thin leather easily and doesnt keep going out of line and the thread bunching up underneath .
i dont paticularley want a computrised one but if there good and have a few extras i dont mind i want me to do the sewing not the machine
so if anyone can give me some advice

I think you need to do some research on the web ... crafts sites.
Husqvarnas are good, as are Jones (and Singer used to be) .. but new ones very dear.
For sewing leather you need to use special needles, they are fashioned with a knife edge which slices through the leather before the thread passes through. Available at any sewing shop. As to the bunching of the thread underneath , this is caused because your top tension needs adjusting to suit the thread/material you are using Most makes in say Argos are ok ,as are those sold in Lidl or Aldi.You should get a good basic machine for well under £100
