I've been sent some pics as an email attachment using WinZip (?) When I try to open them I get the message; 'This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder Options Control Panel' but I can't figure out how to do this, can anyone help please?

WinZip is one of the most widely used file compression utilities. You need to have it installed on your system to 'read' any files that have been compressed using it.
You should be able to find a source for the free part of it on the internet somewhere.
It turns up occasionally included on the cover discs attached to computer magazines as well.
It's a way of sending multiple files then compressing them (so the folder is not too big) you will need to instal Winzip to open it (or Stuffit if you are using a Mac).
You don't need Winzip. Windows XP and above can normally read the zip files created in Winzip.

An excellent and far superior free open source product for creating and managing zip files is 7zip.
