Instead of auto filling my dates for OCT ie after putting the first 2 dates in 01.010.10 and 02.10.10 and then dragging down it increases by years ie 01.10.11 and so on. Whatever I try I just cannot fill in Oct's date for the 31 days. Any help will be greatfully received as this wrinkle is having serious Senior moments over this, as has worked OK in the past..

Put 1st date in.
Select it and 30 cells below.
Select Edit->Fill->Series.
Somewhere there you can choose days/months/years.
I think the problem is the way you are entering dates (01.10.10) If you do it the usual way (01/10/10) it all works fine for me

Tried the first one still goes up by years not days even though selecting days Did as you suggested scotman and it works. Whilst doing this I suddenly remembered the missing part from my crib and that was doing it the way you said BUT after, chaning the date format to the way I wanted it. So thanks both of you for your replies and now I shal be able to sleep well tonight I have been trying to sort this out for 3 days a very bad senior time.
