I don't know how I did it but I seem to have turned off add-ons. When I arrive on my home page, or any other page, there is a bar at the top which says "Internet Explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled" I have tried everything I can think of but they remain disabled. Can anyone tell me how to enable them again and what I might have done to stop the add-ons working.
Many thanks for any assistance

Check the shortcut you use to run IE.

So right click on the shortcut you use, select properties and check that the target line has not got -extoff on the end of it. if it does have -extoff on the end delete it click OK and try opening IE again.

Many thanks Chuck and Albags
In desperation, I decided to format and re-install Window and Hey Presto, I'm back with a much faster computer. However, your good advice was very helpful and I thank you both. Great to have knowledgable people on here like yourselves
Cheers, I owe you both a pint
