I have some old addresses which are in the memory of my hotmail account. When I try to send an email and type in the 'TO' box they all appear. I have clicked the cross in the address box which says 'remove this address' but it still reappears. None of them are in my contacts list. Ive tried highlighting them and pressing delete but that doesnt work. Please tell me how can I get rid of them?

Have you tried deleting them from your Instant Messaging Contacts List?

The addresses dont appear in my ordinary Contacts List - is there a seperate 'Instant' one ????
it's nothing to do with hotmail, it's your browser remembering previous entries.

highlighting them and pressing delete should work, but if not clearing your browsers form and search history will clear them, but doing this will clear every single auto complete that comes up on every single website.
This happened to me once on Hotmail, even after deleting my form/search history, cookies and everything lol. I couldn't understand it lol.

By going on the IM Client of Hotmail, I could solve the problem that way :)
