Laptop to Tv

I connected my laptop up to my tv the other day the sound is coming through fine but the screen in the same size as the one on my laptop is there a way to change this so it can be full screen on my tv......thanks xxXXxx

Control Panel>Display>Settings and click advanced. There's normally something there to set the display resolutions etc, but it varies from machine to machine on how exactly to do it.

Hay ....iv tried that and it is still the same size are there any more ways ?

Yep, do you want to know how to do it on Linux, an Apple mac, in windows 98, XP, Vista 7???

Right click on the desktop, select personalize and then click on display settings, you should have a screen like below

You can see the little pics of both your monitors (the TV is classed as a monitor), click on each one of the little pics and you can adjust the screen resolution independently for each monitor.
