BMW, Infinity, Acura, Lexus, Mercedes?

Hi, I am getting tired of my old piece of junk and thinking of getting a new car (not brand new). I'll either get a used SUV or a used coupe. I love the way BMW looks. I was thinking about BMW, Mercedes, Infinity or Lexus. I know some people who own Mercedes and BMW and they told me they are not as reliable as people think and maintenance is very high for these German cars. I also like infinity and Acura. Lexus could also be an option but older people drive Lexus so it is kind of a turn off. Anyone has suggestion?
I don't feel like spending more than 20k.

It sounds like you are from America (infinity and Acura are USA brands)

This is a mainly UK based site so you may not find people with knowledge of some of those brands (although Acura is just honda, and infinity is Nissan), I also doubt many here would be able to comment on the service costs on America.

You may get more helpful and insightful Answers from a American based site.
