how do you delete history of searches in a search bar ?

you could delete all your cookies - go to Control Panel and then Internet Options

you're welcome. There may well be some less all-inclusive way of deleting just the search history (by somehow highlighting previous searches and right-clicking?) but I don't have IE so I can't be sure.
