Hi - I took delivery of this brand new laptop today (courtesy of T-Mobile) and have followed the instructions carefully as it's ages since I set up a computer from scratch. I charged the battery fully and then sat down to install everything. After about two and a quarter hours I was just starting to set up it's mobile broadband key and it suddenly shut down completely with no warning. I presumed that the battery had run down so I went to switch it off and started to recharge it. The laptop won't turn off but it is only showing a black screen. Is it broken? I've put it back on recharge and it still is only showing a black screen (it is showing a yellow light so it is charging) - surely it should work whilst being charged? Any advice would be much appreciated before I ring up T-Mobile tomorrow and ask them to replace it - or am I just being unobservant and there's something really simple I'm not seeing! Thanks for any help. (Incidentally why don't they put proper instruction manuals in with phones/laptops anymore? It can't cost the companies that much surely?)

Update - I went back to said machine and took the battery out and re-inserted it which seemed to make it work again. I got onto the internet, but left it at that as it was getting quite warm so will go back to it tomorrow - next question is, how do I change it from AOL to Internet Explorer?
