From my old busted laptop I have removed the Hard Drive and placed this into a HDD Caddy so as to transfer files over to the new laptop. No problems with this. However I would like to use the old Hard Drive as an additional drive.
Question....How do I reformat the old drive which was partioned. i.e. C: and D: Any help would be welcome.
Thanks.

with the drive plugged in right click on my computer and select manage.

then click on drive manager, you should see a graphic representation of your drives which will show the partitions, be very careful to get the correct drive here but if you then right click on each partition you can delete the partition, then create one large partition on the drive, then format it.

Chuck you are a gem. Many thanks
I take it that to re-partion and Format are done in the same area as Manage?
Thanks again.
it's easiest to do both from there, you can format it from several other places if you really want to though :)

personally I'd do a quick format (I'll get shouted at by the other techies now :))

Hi Chuch,
Many thanks for you assistance. Have followed your instructions and all has worked fine. I now have a spare HDD that can be used. Many thanks indeed.
