Opening jpeg files

I am unable to open jpeg attachments in Outlook Express.
This was previously OK and I can open all my other jpeg pictures.
I get a box which says
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel."
I have tried but have no idea how to go about this.
Help.

hold down the left shift button and right click on a jpeg and select open with and then choose application.

scroll down the list of programs that comes up and pick something you know will open JPEG files (windows picture and fax viewer will do) and highlight it, make sure there is a tick in the "always use this program" option at the bottom and click ok.

Thanks for the info ChuckFickens but it does not seem to work. All I get is a box with the options to, Open, Print, Save as, Save all, also Add and Remove greyed out. It I put it in My Pictures or Picasa it opens as normal. Any more ideas anyone?
