Outlook blocking weblinks in emails

Can anyone help me with this? I've just installed IE 8 and there was a major update on my machine the other day. Now when I open emails in my Outlook (google alerts with news stories and links to the actual pages) I can no longer open the links. When I hover my mouse over it, it tells me the address is blocked. And when I click on the links instead of opening it up, a small window pops up and says 'Locate Link Browser' and it seems to be trying to get me to find a file or something.

As you can see I'm not very high tech! I was wondering if either the update or installation of IE 8 has changed some settings. I've looked through Outlook but cannot find a way to unblock this, and the online microsoft help doesn't seem much use.

Any ideas?

Cheers as always.

I can only speak for Outlook 2007 but you need to be looking in "Tools" and "Trust Centre" if links in emails are disabled.

2003 may be the same but I can't check sorry
