Possibly ActiveX Setup Problem

Like others on this site, I have had problem with Adobe Flash Player. It does not matter if I try and download 9 or 10 and uninstall the programmes and I have tried all the things mentioned by people on this website, I cannot seem to solve my problem.

From what I can understand,, when using Adoble Flash Player ActiveX setup, I get as far as Registering: C:\windows\system32\macromedia\flash\flast10a.ocx - then it says "failed to install, please see http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_10166."

I find Adobe very unclear. Not to confuse things, when I try and unzip my winzip files, it says winzip.chn is missing. Is this the reason why I cannot download Adobe Flash Player either versions 9 or 10?

If anybody can assist me, but write in clear layman's terms, as I am not that computer savvy, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
