I don't think that is a virus - it seems to be something to do with Samsung PC Studio. Try renaming the file to fun_avcodec.bak (rather than deleting it just in case you do need it again).

ok, i use that. just installed a new version for my new phone the other day. do you think i should remove it completely as i dont really use it that much ?

just deleted it and all is well now. thank you soooooo much for your help. have a very merry christmas ! xx
Hi Mavis, and sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Renaming fun_avcodec.dll to fun_avcodec.bak will let you keep running PC Studio for your phone and stop those error messages. Deleting it also works (as it's that particular file which was causing the trouble) and still lets you run PC Studio. But if you ever find that you need it, try looking for a more recent version of PC Studio on the Samsung site rather than reinstalling from the CD that came with teh phone.
