I'll need software that'll keep my parents computer safe. Any suggestions?

Never, ever Norton.

I half-seriously want to say GNU/Linux (which is an OS to replace Windows); it's far more secure.

But seriously --- on Windows, get AVG antivirus free edition, and Zone Alarm firewall. Adaware free anti-spyware, and you'll be sorted.

Agreed ,but I use Avast! Anti-virus & Spybot anti-spyware as well as adaware . All are free but you should only have the one anti-virus & one firewall

I'd also half seriously say Ubuntu (Linux) :)

But that aside agree with all above apart from getting norton, it's rubbish.

I use AVG free, zone alarm free and Adaware free for windows.
