Hello, I installed a new keyboard 2 days ago. If I use the 'system restore' feature picking a date about 7 days ago will I de-install the keyboard? Thanks

yes...

the system restore is not psychic, it did know you were going to install anything 5 days later.

Though the new keyboard almost certainly didn't need any software installing to use as a keyboard, the basic keyboard will still work, to use any hotkeys or special keys you will need to install the software again.

Why do you want to do a restore, better to try and fix the problem first!
didn't know even!

Hello, Chuck,. I was playing around with split screens, cascading etc. And now when I click on a link it comes up as a small screen. How can I get rid of this? Windows 'XP'.
Try right clicking on the bar at the bottom of the screen, and click 'undo cascade'.

If that's not there,. just click on the 'maximise' button next to the close button top right of screen. You should only need to do that once
i had a problem with my computer about 10minuets ago it kept crashing.

Ethel, (how are you doing); clicking down below doesn't work, and I know that maximasing the screen works, However, it irritates me that I keep getting these small screens......perhaps I'll adapt to the situation:)
when you say clicking a link brings up a small screen do you mean clicking a link on a web page?

if so you are obviously not using the latest version of your web browser as they all have tabbed browsing and shouldn't be opening the pages in new windows. upgrade to the latest version of your browser and you shouldn't have a problem anymore.

Cf, for example if someone posts a link in their question or answer on here and I click on it I get a small window popping up: about 8" by 5", and I have to maximize it to read it. Now this only began to happen after I was 'playing around' with tiling and cascading. Previous to my dickering with tiling and cascading, the links would open full-screen.
Then it sounds like you are using an old version of whatever browser you use, select about on the help menu of your browser and it will tell you what version it is.

If Internet explorer then it should be version 7 for the latest, if firefox then it's version 3.0.4

if your not on the latest version then upgrade to it

for firefox http://www.firefox.com
