How to increase the number of Quick launch items displayed?

I've had a tidy-up of my desktop. In the process, I've been left with only three items displayed on my Quick launch toolbar (bottom left of screen). Before the tidy-up there were four or five items there. I know I can get to the 'missing' ones by pressing the >> button, but wonder how to give myself more permanent display space.

Move the cursor just to the right of the >> button. It will change to a double-headed arrow. Hold the left mouse button down while dragging the edge of the Quick Launch area to the right.

If it doesn't do as Buenchico says then you need to unlock the taskbar first. Right click on the taskbar and look for the setting.

Thank you both for that. It's wonderful when something on the computer is so simple, isn't it?
