This annoying little creature keeps telling me (incorrectly) that there are icons on my desktop that I do not use.

How can I exterminate this pest?

� Right-click an empty part of the desktop and click Properties.
� Click the Desktop tab.
� Click the Customize Desktop button.
� Uncheck the Desktop Cleanup Wizard.

oh and I was gonna say a small bore shotgun would do it ;)

2 problems with that.

1. I don't possess a shotgun licence

2. I worry that it may slow the computer a little
