Please can someone tell me if it is possible to retrieve e mails from Trash. After a week away, I was busy deleting all the useless stuff when all e mails after 25th January disappeared. It was only by chance I looked into Trash - and there they all were! Most of the February ones I had read, but there were half a dozen new ones unopened. What can I do?

Assuming you mean the Windows trash not the email trash.
Open the trash can and double click on the one(s) you want. A new window will open and in the bottom right there should be a restore button press this and your email should be back where it came from.

If in email trash you should be able to drag n drop files back to your inbox or somtimes right click the file and an option to put in... appears. Depends on the email prog you are using (outlook / webmail)

Thankyou Pug100. I am trying to follow instructions... No success yet. Think it is email trash but not outlook. Not sure how to drag n drop so am trying the R click option.
Is there anyway to select them all then just use the 'move to' tab to move them back to the inbox.
what email are you using??

Hello Wardie100. I am using Yahoo mail. I can't find a "move to" in the selection offered - maybe I've deleted that too! Any other suggestions?
i doubt very much you have deleted that button. im not too familiar with yahoo mail layout but on hotmail the 'move to' button is on the bar of options running along the top of the list of emails. either try looking there or when the emails are selected try right clicking and see what options you are given as there is sometimes a move to button there.

I've done it, I've done it!!! Thank you both so much. I'm not sure which bit worked, but I've got the ones I wanted and hope I don't make the same mistake again - whatever that was! Happy Easter both.
