cannot access excel

whenever i try to use microsoft excel on my laptop it says i need install 'Microsoft Office XP Professional with FrontPage' from a disk. I've never had a problem using excel before and dont know why i would need to install frontpage as it is a different program. Can anyone please tell me why this happens and how to correct it. P.S very urgent because i need to use it for a paper which is due in soon

It is not telling you that you need to install Front Page.

What is IS saying is that the origial version of Office that was installed on the computer was "Office XP including Front page" (not all versions of Office came with Front Page, this was a special packaging).

So the master disk you need to look for will be called "Office XP with Front Page"

You say it did work, when did it stop?

Can you think of anything you did to Windows or Office that made it stop working (did you install an Office service pack or office updates, or did you go through an Office uninstall)

Do any of the other components of Office work (assuming they were installed) like Word, Powerpoint etc?
