I am using windows xp. For some unknown reason when logging onto secure sights such as banks/credit card companies a windows pop up warning appears stating that the website certificate is not valid. I can continue, however I am unable to carry out any transactions as the pop up appears again stating an error has ocurred.

What is it in my settings I need to change...............my lap top works fine with no problem at all.

Thanks in advance.

1. Check the security settings, in Internet Explorer, from Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, to see if anything looks to be out of place.

If that doesn't work:

2. Download the latest updates to Internet Explorer.

If that doesn't work:

3. Try a different browser:

It might also be worth chhecking the date on your PC. Ages ago I kept getting similar messages about certificates (though they said the certificate was out of date) which was fixed when I realised that I had the date set to sometime in 1970.
