SDSF - a question please

When I log on to SDSF I have the following options at the top of my screen (Display, Filter, View, Print, Options, Help). This, via the view option allows me to sort the columns so that I see only the ones I want to see. A colleague of mine does not have these options and I was wondering how these are turned on. Please help.
