Tried installing Windows once again, registered a different name to the last one, and once Ive transferred the files over, I delete my last name. This time, access is denied, cant look at it or delete it. It says its read only, anything I do about it.

Do you now have 2 installations of Windows on your PC on the same hard drive?
Or just 2 users?

Are you talking about 1 PC or 2 here : "transferred the files over" ?

Question Author
2 users, on the same PC, but the 'old me' cannot be lookedat/deleted etc

Ive been told to go to Utlities and delete the whole lot and start again, but I cant find Utilities.
I'd try rebooting and logging in with the username
administrator
and whatever password you assigned there during the OS install.

Then go into Control Panel > Users and delete whatever needs deleting.

Managed (dont know how) to put the windows disc in again, and it wiped the entire lot off, so now its all ok.
Cheers anyway.
