On various web pages I get an IE pop up saying "script error & asking if I want to continue running scripts or not".
Clicking no or yes doesn't stop the pop up appearing and it appears so quickly I cannot get rid of the page.
Can anyone please tell me how to stop this it's driving me mad.

Thanks for that but these are to fix errors on a page I've created I just need to disable the notification cos the pages aren't created by me I'm just looking at them

Just follow the instructions in Lost Sheep's link. IE just assumes you are the author so gives you the option of fixing the errors, which of course you cant do because you are not the author.

After you tick Disable ... and untick Display ..... the errors will still occur (until the author does fix them) but you wont get the notifications about them - they will just be ignored.

Thanks for that, I didn't read all of the info he linked as it seemed to be geared at the creators I'll give it a concentrated look now

I had those options ticked and disabled and I also have spybot, ccleaner etc and yet this is still happening.
Why don't you download the new version of IE?
Available from here -

This might solve your problem.

Unfortunately one of the software I use daily for work isn't compatible with IE7 just yet and although they are said to be working on a patch to iron out the problems none have been worked out yet so IE7 isn't an option for me.

Did you also untick Display a notification for every script error directly below the two you have to disable by ticking?

That should stop the error box appearing.

Yes that's been done as well, there's no logical reason I can find for this to keep happening all the correct boxes are ticked or unticked. it shouldn't be happening but still does
madamspud169, have you recently changed your Anti Virus sotftware, or installed a popup blocker? The reason I ask is that I am having exactly the same problem as you, and it has only been happening since I installed AVG and Zone Alarm, and a popup blocker.

I too have followed all of the instructions recommended by other Abers, but I still cannot get rid of the script error message.I have uninstalled my popup blocker, but still the errors occur.I have run spybot and adaware, but still no luck.I am now on the verge of uninstalling AVG and Zone Alarm to see if it makes a difference.
