Do you have a Linksys? If so, go to start, programs and look for something like wireless g, or linksys, or something relating to your network utility. Then open it. It will either open the utility or put the icon back on the system tray. Once you get it open, click on profiles, if you see your connection there, click connect. If not, click on site survey. then click your network name and connect. If it is a secured connection, you will need the password. If you do not remember putting in your own password then it is most likely by default "admin". This may work with other types of routers too, but mine i a linksys and thats how i do it.
