wireless internet for apple mac

i have a mac laptop and want to get the internet (broadband on it)..............does that mean i will have to change my internet connection on the main computer at home because that one isnt broadband? or is there a way of getting seperate deals?

what is wireless all about, and how do i get wireless internet on my apple mac ?

ideally i would want broadband

To get broadband you need to sign up to a broadband ISP. There are lots out there. Have a look at adslguide.org to see the ISP reviews. To use a mac on broadband you should get a modem/router. DO NOT USE A USB ADSL MODEM WITH A MAC.
IF your mac has an airport card you can get a wireless router and connect to that. Wireless really means that no wires are needed to connect to the router.
