I need to do this as I would like to print off a photo from my memory stick.
I sent it from my desktop to memory stick and I can see it there when I plug it into my desktop but when I took memory stick to local supermarket to get it printed off it is not showing.
I looked at the photo on desktop and it is says 'shortcut' so not sure if this is the problem. I have got a smart phone so don't know if it would work if I e mailed it to myself and then took the phone instead?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

You've sent a copy of the shortcut to your memory stick, which isn't going to work.
You need to copy the image itself, not the shortcut.
Right click on the shortcut on your desktop and select "properties". Then select "open file location". This will take you to where the file itself is located. From here you can either drag the image onto your memory stick, or you can right click and "copy" the image and then go to your memory stick and "paste" the image in there.
What did you do to ‘send’ the photo to the memory stick? If you’re using Windows, using File Explorer is the most reliable route. You need first to locate the photo you want wherever it is that photos are saved. (Maybe a Pictures folder, sometimes Downloads.)

The simplest step is then to right-click the icon for the photo you want and then choose ‘Send to’ after which you choose the letter (e.g D:, F: or whatever ) that represents the memory stick. Depending on how much space the photo takes up, this usually happens very quickly. You should then check that the file has properly been transferred to the stick. Before removing the stick, it’s best to tell the computer to ‘eject’ the stick by right-clicking the memory stick icon & clicking on Eject, although there are other ways.

If all this is gobbledygook, you need to get some practice in using File Explorer, as it’s the basic tool for making use of the files and documents stored. (‘ My computer’ is another version of the same thing.)
