I just looked at the site if I were to apply for the above. Noticed that they will be digital ie on your mobile phone etc. How do you get one if you don't have a mobile phone. Like it is getting beyond ridiculous.

In Scotland, you can have a digital one or a printed/paper one. Maybe it's the same where you are?
just print the QR code JJ

ok - TTT - as I say will look it up. So like if I was to apply (I'm not in any hurry) but does it come through quick.
Don't know if it's the same where you are JJ but I ordered mine on the phone and got a paper copy in the post.
Jennyjoan, I ordered mine online and got it three days later. My husband ordered his over the phone and got it three days later. The website, information page, said to allow 14 days, but I haven't heard of anyone having to wait that long.
jenny, I go on the online NHS website, where I am asked to log in to my NHS account and then they download the covid pass, which I then print out.

Thanks. I am getting booster tomorrow. So will apply later when the booster is registered
I agree, it is ridiculous that priority has been given to updating the NHS COVID App, for the convenience of smartphone users, and not getting the NHS COVID Pass letter updated to show details of booster jabs. Two weeks after my booster jab I requested a re-issue of my Pass letter, which arrived last Friday - it still only shows details of the first 2 jabs. Apparently the letter "will be updated in due course" - not good enough!:

you should be able to get it on line then print it yourself.
"I agree, it is ridiculous that priority has been given to updating the NHS COVID App, for the convenience of smartphone users, and not getting the NHS COVID Pass letter updated to show details of booster jabs."
why?
the NHS covid app is how the majority of people get their covid pass
"The NHS covid app is how the majority of people get their covid pass". And? Proof of the booster is not required at the moment in the UK, so the App could have waited and been updated "in due course", whilst the letter, which is available to everyone, smartphone users included, should have been dealt with first.
but people who have the ability dont want to wait 5 days to get the certificaate when you can get it online in minutes!
on;y 2% of households on the UK don't have a mobile phone, so why not please 98% first?
I just phoned NHS Scotland on their free number and gave the date of my first jab. Two minutes later my Covid Passport was in my email inbox and I just printed it off.
For a start it's the number of people[i using smartphones that is important, not the number of [i]households] that have one or more users. I admit that is still going to be a majority, but concentrating on systems that are not available to all in society (and aren't necessary at the moment anyway) is not the way things should be going in the UK.
"For a start it's the number of people[i using smartphones that is important, not the number of [i]households]"
again, why? it seems to me, rather in the same way as having a jab, the best use of efforts is to make sure they reach the greatest number of people quickly!
Why? - because at the moment providing proof of booster jabs is not something that needs to "reach the greatest number of people quickly". Waiting a few days for a letter to arrive is not going to cause anyone real "inconvenience".
well then neither is waiting for "in due course"!
"In due course" will be inconvenient if it drags out to weeks/months, i.e. more than "a few days"!
i suspect we are never going to see eye to eye on this issue :)
it would be inconvienient for smartphone users to be back of the queue also i suspect, although i doubt it's particularly inconvenient for anybody really. As you pointed out, you dont need a record domestically, and you only need proof of boosters for travel to very few countries, and the vaccine proof is valid for 1 year after the second jab, so it's probably not affecting anyone atm anyway, and the "in due course" will happen before it becomes an issue
