My tablet keeps going blank then white screen for literally 2 seconds every now and then and I think it's on its way out. Only started doing this in the last month or two.

Has anyone else had this problem or even know what I'm on about? I think I need a new tablet. Also, if I get another one, can I sync all my apps onto it without having to download from scratch?

Oh, hope mine doesn't do that. Can't offer any advice unfortunately.

Yes you can by downloading app Smart Switch on your old tablet and the same app.on your new tablet.
No mine doesn't go blank.

I'm guessing I'll need to remember my passwords! :o/
LOL....you will-;)

Arrgghh! Lol
trigger.....so easy and takes about 30 mins, just lie the old one, next to the new one, open both apps and off you go.
Wireless.

I've actually got smartswitch on my phone from when I upgraded my s6 to s10.
Well,there you go my love.
You never got an answer to the white screen query.

I've done scans and all seems fine but I still keep getting a white screen for about a second and then goes back to normal.

What I don't want to do is wait for my tablet to completely die before I've had a chance to sync to another device.
The blank screen is a warning that all is not well.
It is probably not worth paying someone to look at it. The Tab S2 has been around for 7 years now .. I bought one and have had it from new. Once in a while I also get the blank screen. If it doesn't correct itself within a few seconds I press the power button along with the volume down for about a minute, then restart it.
Personally I back my phone up, but I have never backed my tablet up and save nothing at all on it. I don't hesitate to do a factory reset to keep it running at top speed.
The Tab S2 is a great tablet, as I'm sure you already know, but the equivalent replacement is close to £700.
When it really annoys me I will bite the bullet and replace it. In the mean time I will carry on using it. It may well be time to start checking out the best price for a replacement.

How do you back up on the s2?
If you have a google a/c it should back up automatically to the cloud. Whatsapp.. settings .. chats .. chat backup. Google photo's will save your photos.
Apart from that I just factory reset without thinking .. it takes 10 mins.
All the apps are readily available and it will do the tablet the world of good.
I'm a big fan of regular resets, too. Gives every machine a new lease of life and a spring in its step
I've got one...no problems so far.
Never done a reset...that's scary to a technophobe like me.
It's nothing to worry about, no scarier than getting a brand new device
Pasta do you do ever run 'Device maintenance' which you will find in settings. It only takes a minute and that livens things up.
Click on Device Maintenance..
Then .. Optimize.

If you do a factory reset does that remove apps and all the auto-sign-ins? I'm to scared to try as I have loads of apps which I'm signed into.
The 'factory reset' will remove the apps you have added since you got your tablet. It will take it back to as it was when it left the factory.
Question Author
That's why I can never do factory resets. I'll lose everything.

Better start saving!
