Is there an email address for the Royal Mail as I have a query as to how to search for a missing letter. Posted 2 weeks ago from Scotland to York and it has not arrived so am chasing it upI doubt I have lost it and as it was for the grand kids they will be very disappointed.

Royal Mail failed to deliver a parcel of mine because they damaged it and couldn't read the address. It was all their fault, they couldn't trace the parcel and only offered me a refund of postage because I couldn't supply purchase receipts. It was all their fault but I am out of pocket. Good innit? :o)

If it wasn't sent by a tracked method RM has no way of tracing it and will give you a few stamps as compensation

Did it have anything valuable in it.. did you pay for special delivery?
If not I would just accept that they have lost it. They don't track letters unless you pay them to do so.
