Yes that is the most up to date then. If you click the 3 dots, select settings and then languages, the spell checker options are there

There's not a single spellchecker on your computer, Khandro. Word has its own spellchecker, as does your web browser. Are you sure that your browser's spellchecker is enabled? (It might help us to know which browser you use).
i thought it was just me, i use Edge
^^^ I've just checked with the new version of Edge, Emmie, and the spellchecker is working OK for me.

The old version of Edge was a modified version of Internet Explorer and used the symbol on the left here for its icon

The new version is based up the same 'developer level' browser (Chromium) that Chrome is also based upon, and uses the logo on the right for its icon. So which version are you using?
no idea chris, i only know that whatever i type i have to spell correctly because it no longer does it for me, if that makes sense
In the up-to-date version of Edge, Emmie, clicking on the three dots at the top right, and then on Help and Feedback > About Microsoft Edge should show this screen:

Is that what you see?
done that it goes to Edge Settings?

I'm using Chrome Chris
You're using the new(ish) version of Edge then, Emmie. To check that the spellchecker is enabled, go to Three Dots > Settings > Languages and look under 'Check Spelling'.

You can check whether Chrome's spellchecker is enabled, Khandro, by following the same route as I've just posted for Emmie, except that you'll probably need to click on 'Advanced' after 'Settings'.

Oddly though, I seem to remember that spellchecking wasn't working for me on AB some time ago but now it is. (I use Slimjet which, like both Chrome and the newer version of Edge, is based around Chromium).
nope followed all that, i understand, but it won't tell me i have typed a wrong word?
Try turning the spellchecker off, closing Edge, then restarting it and turning the spellchecker back on again.
the spell checker has been trained by TTT khandro
ter daaah !
spelling wonky on AB? duznt matter, no one will notice !
ter daaah again !
i have done that turned off laptop too, switched back on and nope it won't spellcheck for me, looks like i will have to type slower and more carefully, sorry guys
no prompts come either,
That's weird because Microsoft Edge, Chrome and Slimjet are all basically the same browser. (Edge is Chromium that's been tweaked a bit by Microsoft, Chrome is Chromium that's been tweaked a bit by Google and Slimjet is Chromium that's been tweaked a bit by FlashPeak). So they should all work in a broadly similar way yet my own spellchecker is definitely working at the moment:

done all the suggestions, nada
