E-Mail Syncing

My Samsung tablet is set up to sync every 15 minutes. However, no new e-mails have been received since 7.54 yesterday, despite me receiving plenty. Oddly, I've sent a few since and they show on the tablet. I can get the newer e-mails on other devices, but I need new e-mails on my tablet too as I use it for streaming and get the code from e-mails. I use a Hotmail account.

Has anyone any suggestions on how to sort this please?

Ahh just noticed it is a samsung tablet. A re-boot is still a valid option though.

Have you tried switching off the phone and letting it re-boot? Is the phone using the phone network for internet access or using a home hub when in distance?

Can you sync your emails manually? Have you checked whether those missing emails have somehow found their way in to your tablet's email spam folder?
Try clearing the email cache? is there a storage limit?

Thanks for your replies. Togo, your suggestion of a re-boot worked perfectly and I've now got the newer e-mail., wish I'd thought of that! Blubster and chelle7272, I'll bear your suggestions in mind if a future re-boot doesn't work.
